Meet Your Online Trauma Therapist in Texas
Welcome! I’m Kerrie Rouse, PhD, LPC, LMFT, an online therapist for trauma
If you’re looking for relief through therapy that increases your sense of self-worth and helps you accept your circumstances while also guiding you toward inner peace, you’ve come to the right place.
I know how lonely and miserable it can be to feel like your life has been reduced to your trauma symptoms.
Living in survival mode can keep you stuck in cycles of isolation, chronic depression and anxiety, addiction, self-harm, burnout, and feeling unloveable. Through my work as an online trauma therapist, I’ve seen that most mental health difficulties are rooted in trauma. Almost everyone experiences trauma at some point, and it isn’t just the “big T” traumas that can impact your life.
All types of trauma, large or small, can reduce your ability to live a full, healthy life.
Trauma wreaks havoc on your nervous system. It can cause you to behave in ways you don’t understand. It causes worrisome patterns in relationships. Trauma can make you feel like you’re always wound up, stressed, and unable to enjoy the present moment.
I believe that with the right support, lasting change is possible for everyone.
I use a variety of modalities to engage your body and brain, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, to help you heal.
In our work together, you’ll gain:
Skills to self-soothe, accept, cope, and thrive through life difficulties
Knowledge of how to regulate your nervous system and find safety in your body
Resources to reduce symptoms of trauma like anxiety, depression, unhealthy relationship dynamics, constant indecision, doubt, and low self-worth
Support to feel your most empowered and confident self
Together, we can help you recover from your past so you can live more fully in the present.

CURIOSITY
Curiosity forms the basis of healing and self-acceptance. Without curiosity, I can’t hope to help my clients and they can’t hope to fully heal. I won’t make assumptions or judgments about you. Instead, I will always be curious about your experiences, and I’ll help you cultivate curiosity for your internal world and the world around you.
HUMOR
I use humor whenever appropriate because I believe that lightness and humor help to balance out the trauma and difficulties of everyday life.
CREATIVITY
My holistic practice is by definition creative and ever-evolving. My work is tailored to my clients, and each client needs something different. Creativity keeps sessions fresh, effective, and worthwhile.
Your trauma doesn’t have to run your life anymore. I’m here to help you break free from the cycle.
